Stellantis has decided its next great marketing frontier is floating somewhere near the clouds. The transatlantic auto giant has officially inked a deal with Nova Sky Stories to launch a massive series of drone-powered light shows across the United States throughout 2026, effectively converting the night sky into a giant, unskippable billboard for Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, and Ram.
As the official and exclusive automotive partners of the national DroneArt Show, the four American brands will star in custom-tailored “Sky Stories” designed to project corporate values like freedom, innovation, and “American spirit” directly over local communities.
Conveniently timed to piggyback on America’s 250th anniversary celebrations, the initiative aims to reach hundreds of events by the end of 2026. Nothing says rugged off-roading or classic muscle car heritage quite like hundreds of synchronized, battery-powered micro-copters hovering in formation above a stadium parking lot.
The spectacles promise some surprisingly lofty artistic choices. Spectators can look forward to “The Four Seasons”, an orchestral mashup pairing live renditions of Vivaldi and Tchaikovsky with glowing fleet choreography, as well as “Space Chase,” a family-friendly sci-fi narrative. Meanwhile, on terra firma, local dealerships will be handing out tickets, setting up physical vehicle displays, and launching digital activations in a desperate bid to channel skyward jaw-dropping into actual showroom foot traffic.
According to Stellantis Global Chief Marketing Officer Olivier François, the night sky represents a shared, unignorable screen that brings brands directly into heartland neighborhoods.
The partnership stems from a September 2025 collaboration between François and Nova Sky Stories CEO Kimbal Musk, who previously teamed up for “Grace for the World”, a Vatican-backed drone show preaching hope and unity.
Armed with proprietary technology and over a decade of industry expertise, Nova Sky Stories plans to operate in over 160 markets in 2026. Whether floating a glowing 3D outline of a Ram 1500 or a Chrysler Pacifica into the stratosphere will actually convince Americans to buy cars remains to be seen, but at least the celestial scenery will be spectacular.
