Terms and Conditions

Language: English

These terms cover the ClubAlfa magazine and community services operated by StarAtlas Media S.L.U. Participation in the forum is governed by the Forum Rules; prices and terms for paid memberships are set out on the Premium Membership page. The privacy and cookie notice remains a separate document.

1 Operator and contact details

ClubAlfa is operated by StarAtlas Media S.L.U., tax identification number B56621311, with its registered office at Calle Thomas Edison 17, 35100 San Bartolomé de Tirajana, Las Palmas, Spain.

You can reach us through the Contact page. For a content or account enquiry, identify the relevant service and provide useful references. Do not send passwords, access codes or complete payment details.

2 Scope of these terms

The general terms apply to the magazine and, where relevant, the forum and other ClubAlfa community services. The specific provisions of the Forum Rules and Premium terms govern their respective services; mandatory statutory rights remain unaffected.

Before creating an account or purchasing a service, read the terms presented during the relevant process.

3 Independence and editorial content

ClubAlfa is an independent project and is not the official website of Alfa Romeo or Stellantis. Referenced trademarks belong to their respective owners.

Our editorial policy and code of ethics describe how articles are produced and how to report errors. User contributions in the forum and comments express their authors’ views and do not automatically represent the views of the editorial team or operator.

The editorial policy includes the Corrections and rectifications section, explaining how errors and corrections in articles are handled.

4 Account access and security

Forum participation is restricted to adults and requires an account with a complete date of birth. Access and participation are governed by the Forum Rules.

Some features require an account and email verification through the process provided by the service. You may use a nickname on the forum; you do not have to publish your real name. A pseudonym does not, however, guarantee anonymity.

Keep your credentials secure, do not share them and promptly report suspected unauthorised access. Impersonation and the use of additional accounts to evade sanctions, manufacture support or manipulate discussions are prohibited. Having more than one account is not, by itself, a breach.

Editing, deletion and upload features are available according to the service’s permissions, limits and tools. Contact staff if you cannot handle a request directly.

5 Participation and moderation

Participation requires respect for people, applicable law and the community’s specific rules. Unlawful content, threats, harassment, discrimination, pornography, spam and unauthorised promotions are not allowed.

Moderation does not constitute prior approval of contributions, and continuous staff presence is not guaranteed. Reports are examined using the tools and procedures applicable to the service.

Measures may include warnings, moderation edits, removals, feature restrictions, suspensions and bans. Severity, context and repetition are considered, without a mandatory sequence of warnings in serious cases. Reasons and review opportunities are handled in accordance with applicable obligations; the Rules distinguish clarification by a moderator from review by the administration.

6 Rights in user contributions

Authors retain the rights in their texts, photographs and other contributions. Uploading material to the forum’s servers does not, by itself, transfer ownership of those rights to the operator.

Publish only material in which you hold the necessary rights or which you are authorised to share. Respect the rights of people depicted and third parties’ privacy. An image is not freely reusable merely because it is available online.

Users are responsible for infringements attributable to them. Any claim for compensation or indemnity is assessed within the limits of the law, without excluding the operator’s own responsibilities or indiscriminately transferring every service risk to the user.

7 Licence to the operator and editorial reuse

By publishing a contribution, you grant StarAtlas Media S.L.U. a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence, usable in the countries where the services are accessible, to host, retain, reproduce, format and make it available within the forum and ClubAlfa services. The licence includes necessary technical operations such as thumbnail generation, compression, compatible formats, feeds, previews and moderation.

The licence includes editorial reuse in the magazine and on official ClubAlfa social channels of contributions published in the forum’s public areas only, crediting the author’s public nickname and linking to the original discussion. Attribution is adapted to the channel and any privacy requirements. Reuse must respect the contribution’s meaning and integrity, retain necessary context and not portray the author as supporting views they have not expressed.

Reusing contributions from restricted areas, including the Premium area, in the magazine or on social channels requires specific authorisation from the relevant rights holders, separate from acceptance of these terms. Private conversations are excluded from this editorial reuse. Technical access to or retention of restricted content does not authorise its public disclosure.

Technical providers may process material only for activities necessary to the services; social publication involves the technical permissions required by the platform, within limits compatible with this licence. No general right is granted to sell or transfer contributions to third parties for purposes unrelated to ClubAlfa services.

The licence is intended to last for the term of protection of the rights and to continue after account closure, within the limits permitted by law and the stated purposes. Mandatory rights of authors, data subjects and third parties remain unaffected.

Use of contributions in advertising campaigns requires a separate agreement and any other necessary authorisations. These terms do not revoke rights validly granted under earlier licences and do not automatically confer new rights over earlier contributions.

Editorial reuse of earlier contributions remains limited to rights already validly granted or uses permitted by law. Retention of messages in discussions remains distinct from editorial reuse outside the forum.

8 Account closure and retention

You may request account closure using the available features or by contacting support. The deletion process allows 14 days to reconsider and withdraw the request; if it is not withdrawn, permanent deletion follows after that period. This account-related period is separate from withdrawal from a Premium purchase.

At permanent deletion, the process to stop Premium renewals begins and the administration verifies the outcome, using manual action where necessary. The request alone does not stop charges. Voluntary closure does not trigger an automatic refund; mandatory rights remain intact. Personal data requests follow their own applicable deadlines and are separate from removing public contributions.

Closing an account does not automatically delete all messages and attachments. Within the limits of the law and the applicable licence, contributions may remain available to preserve discussion continuity and the community’s information resources.

If a contribution contains personal data or infringes other rights, you may request an assessment, providing links and reasons where possible. Voluntary publication does not exclude examination of the request. Where appropriate, identifying details or quotations may be addressed without removing the entire contribution; where necessary, the content is removed.

9 Magazine content and reuse by third parties

Articles, photographs, graphics, code and other material are protected by their respective rights holders’ rights. Rights in user contributions remain distinct from rights in editorial content and service elements.

Except where specific licences, exceptions or uses permitted by law apply, republication requires authorisation from the relevant rights holder. For the operator’s material, requests may be sent through the Contact page; silence does not constitute permission. Citing a source does not replace authorisation where it is required.

For material in which the operator holds the necessary rights only, non-commercial educational use in school or specialist courses is permitted, with source attribution and the author’s name where stated. This permission does not extend authorisations covering user contributions or third-party material.

Reproduction of graphics or distinctive elements in a way that causes confusion about a service’s origin or implies a non-existent affiliation is prohibited.

10 Automation and artificial intelligence

Unless specifically authorised in writing or permitted by law, automated collection using bots, crawlers, scripts or scraping, extraction, bulk copying and redistribution of content from the magazine, forum and other ClubAlfa services are prohibited. Circumventing access restrictions or security measures, collecting personal data without a lawful basis or disrupting the services is prohibited.

StarAtlas Media S.L.U. grants no company or other third party, through these terms or mere access to the services, a licence to use content to train, pretrain, fine-tune or evaluate artificial intelligence models, or to create or supply datasets for those purposes. Public availability, forum registration, Premium membership or any permission to index content does not authorise these uses.

To the extent of the rights it holds, StarAtlas Media S.L.U. expressly reserves the use of content and databases for text and data mining, under Article 4(3) of Directive (EU) 2019/790 and Article 67 of Spanish Real Decreto-ley 24/2021. Any authorisation from the operator must be prior, express and written, specifying the content and permitted purposes; permission from other rights holders remains necessary where required.

The operator reserves the ability to develop and train its own artificial intelligence systems using material for which it holds the necessary rights. User contributions and third-party material remain subject to the licences and permissions actually applicable: this provision does not extend the licence in chapter 7 or automatically authorise training on private conversations, restricted content or personal data. All processing must respect confidentiality and personal data law.

Uses permitted by mandatory law and rights already validly granted remain unaffected. This reservation concerns rights the operator may exercise; it does not transfer ownership of user contributions or grant the company exclusive rights in others’ material.

11 Reporting unlawful content and rights concerns

To report content you consider unlawful or harmful to rights, use the Contact page, identifying the service and, where possible:

  • the exact link to the content;
  • a specific explanation of the grounds for the report;
  • information or documents supporting assessment;
  • contact details for a response, where required by the applicable procedure;
  • a good-faith statement that the information supplied is accurate and complete.

Do not provide unnecessary data. The operator examines reports, communicates decisions as required by applicable obligations and may request information needed to locate the content or understand the request. A report does not automatically establish that content is unlawful.

For ordinary forum rule breaches, you may also use the Report feature. Personal data requests additionally follow the contact channels and procedures in the privacy notice.

12 Free services and Premium memberships

The forum offers free features and optional paid Premium memberships. Free participation does not promise a solution to technical problems or official manufacturer support.

Prices, duration, benefits, renewals and cancellation are described on the Premium Membership page and during purchase. Specific terms must be available before payment. Changes to future offerings do not automatically alter amounts under subscriptions already authorised.

Back to contents

13 Availability and liability

The operator maintains the service, but maintenance, interruptions or errors may occur. The availability of a discussion or contribution does not guarantee its technical accuracy or suitability for an individual case.

Shared experiences do not replace professional checks, particularly for work affecting vehicle safety. Free features do not eliminate obligations applicable to the operator.

Any limitation of liability applies only to the extent permitted by law. Mandatory rights, liability that cannot be limited and remedies for paid services are not excluded. Linking to an external provider does not, by itself, make the operator responsible for that provider’s own obligations, without prejudice to responsibility for the operator’s own conduct and applicable obligations.

14 External services and newsletters

Some features, such as payments, comments or embedded content, may be provided by third parties under their own terms. Before using them, read the information presented by the service and the relevant privacy notice.

External links do not automatically constitute endorsement of the linked content. You may report risks or infringements you encounter.

The newsletter is optional. You may unsubscribe through the link in the communications or the contact details in the privacy notice. Following discussions and account-related service communications remain distinct from promotional subscriptions.

15 Privacy and cookies

Purposes, legal bases, retention periods, providers and personal data rights are described in the privacy and cookie notice.

Accepting the service terms does not, by itself, constitute consent to marketing or optional tracking. Preferences for optional processing are managed through the dedicated tools.

Back to contents

16 Changes to these terms

Material changes are communicated with a summary and an effective date, normally with at least 15 days’ notice, unless a longer period is required by law. A notice will be published in the forum, with links to the updated texts.

Urgent changes necessary for legal or security reasons may take effect earlier, with the reason and effective date stated. Typographical corrections that do not change rights or obligations may be made without a new notice period.

For paid services, applicable information, termination and refund rights remain unaffected. Where new acceptance is required, merely keeping the terms online does not replace it. Earlier versions and effective dates must remain traceable.

17 Applicable law and disputes

These terms are governed by Spanish law. This choice does not deprive consumers of mandatory protection under the law that would apply in the absence of that choice.

For disputes in which jurisdiction may lawfully be agreed, the designated courts are those of Las Palmas, Spain. Mandatory consumer jurisdiction and any other non-derogable jurisdiction rules remain expressly unaffected: this clause does not impose on consumers a court different from that recognised by applicable rules.

You may contact the operator to seek a resolution without limiting access to authorities or available remedies. If one provision is inapplicable, this does not automatically make the remaining provisions inapplicable, within the limits of the law.
