Editorial Policy and Ethics

Last updated: 11 October 2026

Our work

ClubAlfa covers the automotive world through news, features, analysis and opinion. Our main Italian edition focuses particularly on Alfa Romeo, Italian brands and Stellantis. The Automobili section extends our coverage to other manufacturers, mobility and automotive technology. ClubAlfa Global serves an international audience in English.

These principles apply across all three editions. ClubAlfa is published by STAR ATLAS Media S.L.U. Our editorial team and publisher are responsible for editorial decisions. This policy covers editorial content; website and community use are addressed in our Terms of Use (in Italian).

Story selection and source verification

We select topics for their relevance to readers, including new vehicles, industry developments, markets, technology, mobility, automotive history and the brands we cover.

We check information against relevant sources, prioritising original documents, data and statements. We identify where information comes from and credit other publications when drawing on their reporting, linking to sources where available.

A press release represents the position of the organisation issuing it. Manufacturer figures, forecasts and assessments are attributed and presented in context. Prices, availability, offer conditions and technical specifications may vary by market and reference date.

Facts, opinion and unconfirmed information

We distinguish confirmed information from rumours, assumptions and interpretation. We identify information that remains uncertain or unverified.

Analysis and opinion may express an author’s assessment while keeping the underlying facts identifiable. Headlines, images and captions should reflect the article and the certainty of its claims.

Renderings and reconstructions of possible future vehicles are illustrations. Publishing them does not confirm a manufacturer’s plans.

Verification and editorial responsibility

Authors are responsible for checking the information, attribution and context of the articles they prepare. The editorial team may carry out additional checks and reviews according to the content and editorial needs.

Verification continues after publication through updates, new information and reader feedback. Errors are handled under the procedure in the Corrections and updates section.

Independence and ethical principles

Editorial decisions are separate from advertising sales. Commercial relationships do not determine our articles’ conclusions.

Paid content and material produced through commercial partnerships are clearly identified. Relevant interests or relationships that readers need to understand a story must be disclosed. Authors and contributors are expected to inform the editorial team of potential conflicts of interest involving the subjects they cover.

We aim to use respectful language, avoid discrimination and consider privacy and the people involved in our reporting. Criticism should address facts, decisions and conduct relevant to the subject.

Images and artificial intelligence

Images should be relevant to the article and used with respect for their owners’ rights. We distinguish photographs, official materials, renderings and illustrations, providing relevant sourcing and credits.

We use AI tools to support preliminary research, information organisation and language editing. Information found through these tools is checked against sources: an AI response alone is not a journalistic source.

We may also use AI-generated or AI-modified images. Synthetic representations and modifications that substantially change an image’s meaning are identified in the caption or accompanying context. They must not be presented as photographic evidence of real events or vehicles.

People remain responsible for verification and publication decisions when automated tools are used.

Corrections and updates

Despite our efforts to check information, mistakes can occur. When we establish that information is inaccurate, we correct it and make substantial changes understandable to readers.

Typographical and presentation errors. We fix spelling, formatting and other errors that do not change the information’s meaning without adding a correction note.

Substantial errors. When an error involves facts, figures, names, dates, quotations, attribution or other elements that change the article’s meaning, we correct the content and add a visible, dated note explaining the change.

Updates. New information may add to or supersede information that was accurate when published. When an update substantially changes an article, we make its nature and date identifiable.

Errors affecting an entire article. If a problem undermines the basis of the article, we consider substantial revision or withdrawal, accompanied by a visible explanation.

If incorrect information also appears in a related version published in another ClubAlfa edition, we review that version and make the necessary changes. Notes are written in the language of the relevant edition.

How to report an error

Use our Contact Us page and include the article URL, the passage or information you believe is incorrect, an explanation and, where available, the correct information. Provide supporting documents or links and contact details for any necessary clarification.

We assess reports using the available information. The editorial team may request further evidence before deciding how to respond.

People or organisations mentioned in or directly affected by an article may send clarifications, a response or a rectification request through our editorial contacts. The editorial team assesses the request and supporting information, taking applicable obligations into account. Disagreement with an opinion does not, by itself, establish a factual error.

For concerns involving images, attribution or copyright, identify the material and provide information that helps us assess the report.
