The Sahara sits on the more comfort-oriented side of the Gladiator range, targeting buyers who want Jeep pickup capability without the more specialized focus of the Rubicon and Mojave.

Under the hood, the naturally aspirated 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 continues to produce 285 hp and 260 lb-ft (353 Nm) of torque. An eight-speed 850RE automatic transmission and selectable four-wheel drive create a familiar setup suited to both daily driving and low-traction conditions. With the proper equipment, the Gladiator can tow up to 6,000 pounds and carry roughly 1,200 pounds in the bed.
The Sahara stands out through body-color fender flares, a three-piece Freedom Top hardtop and 18-inch wheels with a machined gray finish. LED headlights and fog lights come standard. Heated McKinley seats, a heated steering wheel, remote start and proximity keyless entry give the pickup a more SUV-like feel for everyday use while preserving the Gladiator’s removable doors and roof.
The dashboard combines a 7-inch digital instrument display with the Uconnect 5 system and a 12.3-inch touchscreen. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto reduce the need to connect a smartphone with a cable, while physical controls remain available for the main functions.
