Stellantis Pro One is gearing up to prove at IAA Transportation 2026 in Hannover that simply selling bare-bones commercial vans is far too quaint for the modern corporate spreadsheet. Instead of just handing fleet operators a set of keys and wishing them luck, the automaker’s commercial vehicle division is unveiling a comprehensive new roadmap aimed at expanding its European footprint by transforming into an all-in-one ecosystem of vehicles, software, upfitting, and logistics services.

Taking center stage at the Hannover exhibition is the world premiere of the “Box-on-Wheels”, a fully autonomous concept designed for last-mile logistics that subtly hints human delivery drivers might soon become an obsolete operational cost.

This rolling monolith of automated efficiency promises seamless urban deliveries and non-stop operational continuity, assuming its self-driving software can navigate double-parked city traffic as ruthlessly as a seasoned courier.

Joining this autonomous pod is the Smart Compact Van, making its very first physical public appearance after a purely digital launch, offering commercial buyers a tangible look at the next generation of urban utility vehicles.

Recognizing that no two contractors can ever agree on shelf placement or tool storage, Stellantis is also pushing its CustomFit customization initiative. The program aims to streamline the transition from stock commercial vehicles to specialized mobile workshops directly through factory-backed solutions, bypassing the usual logistical headaches of third-party upfitters.

The strategy officially unfolds during a tight, 20-minute press briefing on September 14, 2026, at 8:20 AM CEST at the Stellantis Pro One stand. Headed by Emanuele Cappellano, COO of Enlarged Europe and Global Head of Stellantis Pro One, alongside Global Senior Vice President Eric Laforge, the presentation will outline how the group plans to maintain its commercial dominance. Immediately following the executive pitch, journalists will be ushered to the outdoor demonstration zone to watch these high-tech fleet solutions attempt real-world maneuvers, proving that Stellantis is ready to sell the future of work.
