The first model to be equipped with Stellantis’ next-generation electrification platform, the “STLA Medium” presented in Korea
The new Peugeot 3008 Smart Hybrid presented in Korea
(July 3, 2025) – Peugeot has unveiled the ‘New 3008 Smart Hybrid (NEW 3008 SMART HYBRID, hereafter referred to as New 3008),’ the essence of French sensibility and innovation that has undergone a complete transformation, for the first time in Korea at the ‘Candy Seongsu’ cultural and performing arts center located in Seongsu-dong on the 3rd.
The new third-generation 3008, completely redesigned for the first time in eight years, is an urban C-SUV that combines eye-catching design and smart hybrid technology, a strategic model that will drive the expansion of the Peugeot brand’s SUV range and domestic market expansion. Since its global debut in 2008, the 3008 has established itself as a representative SUV, with cumulative sales of more than 1.4 million units since the second-generation model (P84) in 2016. In Korea, it has also been a key model, accounting for about 27 percent of Peugeot’s total cumulative sales since the launch of the diesel model in 2010.

This new third-generation 3008 is the first model to feature Stellantis’ next-generation electrification platform, the “STLA Medium,” and has concentrated Peugeot’s innovation in design, space, powertrain and technology. It has been recognized for its marketability and reliability, with more than 100,000 units sold in just six months since its launch in Europe. Peugeot aims to create a new breakthrough in the imported C-SUV segment, addressing the tastes of diverse Korean customers through the new 3008, which boasts details that harmonize French sensibilities and technology.
LED headlights are standard on all trims, and the GT trim has new features such as ‘Pixel LED headlights’ that automatically adjust light direction according to surrounding traffic conditions without dazzling other drivers, as well as ‘3D LED taillights ‘ , which enhance driving comfort and aesthetic perfection.
Above all, the ‘floating spoiler’ that seems to float in the air and the ‘cat ears’ located at its ends not only achieved a drag coefficient of 0.28 Cd, which is unusual for an SUV, but also satisfies aesthetics by adding Peugeot’s typical ‘French details,’ such as concealing the side window trim.
The “Panoramic i-Cockpit” and GT trim
The all-new 3008 is the first to adopt the advanced “Panoramic i-Cockpit” to maximize driving immersion and usability. The GT trim is the first to adopt the “21-inch curved panoramic display” that appears to float above the dashboard, enhancing the futuristic sense and visual immersion. The Allure trim comes standard with the “dual 10-inch panoramic display,” which integrates two 10-inch screens into a single panel.
The driver can experience a more relaxed and intuitive operating environment with the addition of “virtual i-Toggles” at the bottom of the display that allow intuitive setting of frequently used functions, a compact steering wheel with touch sensors, and an integrated gear selector positioned next to the steering wheel.
Functionality and practicality have also been further improved. Designed on the basis of the ‘STLA Medium‘ trim, which broadly encompasses C and D segments as well as hybrid and purely electric vehicles, the all-new 3008 boasts even more spaciousness thanks to a wider body (total length 4,545 mm, total width 1,895 mm, total height 1,650 mm, wheelbase 2,730 mm) [1] . The trunk has a basic capacity of 588 liters and a maximum cargo space of 1,663 liters with the rear seats down, which can be split 40:20:40, and offers a total storage capacity of 34 liters, including a total of 17 storage compartments and a storage compartment in the armrest that can be cooled by connecting to the air conditioning. The GT trim also features a hands-free electric trunk function.

The seats are upholstered in fabric and leather (Allure) and fine black Nappa leather (GT), depending on the trim. The ‘GT trim offers ventilation and massage functions for the front and heated rear seats. Also newly introduced was an “adaptive” function that reduces upper body tilt in tight turns. There has been no shortage of emotional elements such as ambient lighting in eight colors and a particulate filtering system in the passenger compartment.
The 48-V intelligent hybrid system
The all-new 3008 is equipped with a 48 V intelligent hybrid system, which allows driving in electric mode for about 50 percent of the total driving time in an urban environment. Consisting of a 1.2-liter PureTech gasoline engine, an exclusively hybrid 6-speed dual-clutch transmission (e-DCS6), and a 48 V battery, the system operates in electric mode during startup, departure, and low-speed driving thanks to the integration of the electric motor into the transmission, and offers high fuel efficiency and quietness thanks to regenerative braking and acceleration assist functions. This is complemented by precise steering response and high-speed stability to complete the lively and agile driving experience typical of Peugeot.
The all-new 3008 has a combined engine and electric motor output of 145 horsepower [2] , with an engine output of 136 hp, electric motor output of 15.6 kW and maximum torque of 23.5 kg-m and 5.2 kg-m respectively. With a combined fuel efficiency of 14.6 km/L and CO₂ emissions of 110 g/km, it has achieved national certification as a Class 2 low-emission vehicle and can also enjoy benefits such as discounts on various public parking and congestion tolls.

Official sales of the all-new 3008 Smart Hybrid will begin on July 11, with official selling prices of 44.9 million won for the Allure and 49.9 million won for the GT . Thanks to the benefit of the individual consumption tax (IUI) reduction applied until the end of December 2025, the Allure can be purchased at 44.251 million won and the GT at 49.163 million won .
Bang Sil, CEO of Stellantis Korea, said, “The all-new 3008 Smart Hybrid, with its eye-catching design, exceptional product competitiveness and reasonable price competitiveness, will satisfy the diverse tastes of discerning domestic customers who appreciate both luxury and practicality. We are confident that the all-new 3008 will bring a breath of fresh air to the domestic imported mid-size SUV market.”
Meanwhile, the all-new 3008 is also available in a “consignment delivery” version, which allows the vehicle to be purchased at the same price from any Peugeot dealer across the country, applying the same procedure to the “Peugeot Promise” (worry-free price guarantee system). Details on the all-new 3008 Smart Hybrid are available at Peugeot showrooms across the country and on the official website (https://www.epeugeot.co.kr).
