The Fiat Mobi has reached the milestone of 600,000 units sold in Brazil nearly ten years after its market debut in 2016, while total production has already moved past 650,000 units. The small hatchback has led its segment since 2021 and has remained firmly among the ten best-selling cars in the country. In February 2026, it finished third overall in Brazilian registrations after Fiat delivered 73,013 units across all of 2025. Those figures show how well the Mobi continues to compete in a market segment that remains crowded and highly sensitive to price.

The current lineup includes the Like and Trekking trims, both powered by the 1.0-liter Firefly engine and both equipped as standard with ABS, stability and traction control, hill-start assist, tire-pressure monitoring, electric power steering, and height adjustment for the headlights and steering wheel.

For the 2026 model year, Fiat introduced an updated instrument cluster, a revised steering wheel, and new optional packages designed to improve comfort and ergonomics in everyday urban use. These targeted changes aim to keep the product fresh without changing its basic formula, which still revolves around simplicity, compact size, and practicality.

According to Federico Battaglia, head of Fiat and Abarth brands for South America, reaching 600,000 sales further strengthens the Mobi’s position in a segment where reliability, efficiency, and affordability remain the key factors behind buying decisions.

The model also benefits from its inclusion in the Brazilian federal government’s Sustainable Car program. That initiative supports locally produced compact vehicles with strong energy and environmental efficiency through an exemption from the IPI tax on industrialized products. This tax advantage lowers the final price even further and helps reinforce the Mobi’s position as one of the benchmark entry-level city cars in the Brazilian market.
