Colani had finalised his studies as an Aeronautic engineer at Sorbonne in France in 1953 and had done his first work at Simca. The first complete car body finalised in fiberglass. 1954 he went to Italy where he received the Golden Rose at Geneva exhibition for his design of Fiat 1100 Special.
