The new Alfa Romeo Giulia has moved back into the spotlight thanks to a digital reconstruction that appeared on the Autopareri forum and that, according to several rumors, could offer a fairly accurate idea of the styling direction planned for the model expected between late 2027 and the first half of 2028.
For some time now, reports have pointed to a Giulia that will look very different from the current generation, at least in terms of body shape. The most common theory describes a sedan with a silhouette closer to the idea of a liftback, with a more pronounced rear section but without the classic proportions of a traditional three-box sedan.

That kind of solution could give the model a more contemporary image and likely bring it more in line with current market trends, while still preserving the visual language of an Alfa Romeo sports sedan. The reconstruction that has surfaced seems to move in exactly that direction. The front end recalls some elements already associated with the future Stelvio, especially in the treatment of the lighting and the general layout of the nose. Pronounced wheel arches further emphasize a body that looks more muscular and more sculpted than the current Giulia.
Overall, the model is imagined with solid proportions and a strong visual presence. The shape looks less sleek than the outgoing generation, but more robust and more modern in the way it uses its surfaces. The stance also seems to suggest slightly greater ground clearance, a detail that could relate to the possible use of an electrified platform with batteries integrated into the floor, something that would naturally affect both the proportions and the overall posture of the car.

On the technical side, uncertainty remains significant. Beyond the questions surrounding the design, rumors continue to circulate about the platform that will underpin the model. In the past, many reports strongly pointed to STLA Large, but more recently other sources have suggested a return to the Giorgio architecture in an evolved form. Right now, nothing clearly supports one theory over the other. The first more concrete clues on both the technical and styling direction of the future Giulia could arrive on May 21, when Antonio Filosa presents Stellantis’ new strategic plan.
