Fiat will unveil a previously unseen product during the 2026 Interlagos Festival, using the Brazilian event to celebrate its first 50 years in the country. The brand has not revealed the identity of the new arrival, which will debut between August 27 and 30 at the José Carlos Pace circuit alongside a selection of historic models and Fiat’s current South American Abarth lineup.
Fiat prepares a major surprise for Interlagos as it celebrates 50 years in Brazil
The event will mark Fiat’s fifth consecutive appearance and bring together two very different chapters of the company’s history in Brazil. The past will take center stage with the Stilo Schumacher number 001, the first example from the special series introduced in 2004 to celebrate Michael Schumacher’s seventh Formula 1 world title and his fifth consecutive championship with Ferrari.
That particular Stilo stands out for more than its production number. Fiat originally presented it at the São Paulo Auto Show, and the car carries the signatures of Michael Schumacher, Rubens Barrichello and Jean Todt. Fiat later donated the vehicle to UNESCO. The Brazilian series included 500 numbered cars, all powered by a 122-hp 1.8-liter 16V engine and identifiable by Rosso Modena paint, 17-inch wheels, a rear spoiler and special badges dedicated to the Formula 1 champion.
The Abarth Pulse and Fastback will represent Fiat’s current approach to performance in Latin America. Fiat developed both models specifically for the region, and visitors will have the opportunity to drive them directly on the Interlagos circuit rather than simply viewing them on a static display.
That approach allows Fiat to showcase the Scorpion brand through products already available to Brazilian customers while giving attendees a more direct experience of their performance.
An Abarth simulator will recreate the acceleration, power and sound of selected models, while several cameras will record each session so participants can receive a video afterward. Fiat will also dedicate a digital installation to the 50 years since production began at Betim in 1976. Visitors will be able to virtually customize the 147, Uno, Strada, Pulse and Fastback before placing their chosen car into a short track-themed video.
Official stores, commemorative scale models and photo areas will complete a program built largely around Fiat’s industrial history and performance activities.
The biggest question remains the mysterious new product that Fiat plans to reveal at Interlagos. The official announcement does not provide enough detail to determine whether it will be a production model, a special edition or a one-off show car, leaving its identity as the main surprise of the event.
