Alfa Romeo will renew its lineup by 2030 with a new C-segment SUV, a compact hatchback and additional projects for the D segment, while Junior and Tonale continue to play their current commercial roles. The FaSTLAne 2030 plan confirms the end of the brand’s previous EV-only strategy and introduces multi-energy platforms, although Alfa Romeo has not yet fully defined the successors to Giulia and Stelvio.

The first new model will arrive in the fourth quarter of 2027 and come from Stellantis’ Melfi plant on the STLA Medium platform. Alfa Romeo has shown only a small section of the rear, enough to confirm that the Centro Stile team in Turin has reached an advanced stage of development but not enough to reveal the vehicle’s full proportions or body design. The lineup will offer multiple powertrain options, including hybrid and electric versions, while the company has yet to announce its name or detailed specifications.

This SUV will enter the segment currently occupied by the Tonale and is widely expected to become its successor. Alfa Romeo has not confirmed whether it will retain the Tonale name or officially announced when production at Pomigliano will end, so the exact transition between the two models will depend on the company’s 2027 industrial plans.

A new C-segment hatchback will also bring Alfa Romeo back into a category it left after discontinuing the Giulietta. Stellantis has already confirmed the use of the STLA One platform, a scalable architecture designed to support combustion, hybrid and electric powertrains. References to the Giulietta and 147 currently relate only to the historical positioning of the future compact model, as Alfa Romeo has not revealed its commercial name or styling.

The current Giulia and Stelvio will remain in production through 2027, including the Quadrifoglio versions, but Alfa Romeo still describes its future D-segment strategy as a work in progress. Earlier plans pointed to new generations based on STLA Large, while more recent communications avoid confirming the platform, launch timing or body styles. The company has only committed to finding new interpretations of both models with multi-energy powertrains.

The Junior will continue to support Alfa Romeo’s sales volumes in the B segment and could receive updates later in the decade, although the company has not published a facelift schedule.

Alongside its higher-volume models, Alfa Romeo will also develop extremely limited-production projects through BOTTEGAFUORISERIE, the program that brings Alfa Romeo and Maserati together for bespoke vehicles and special creations.

The Giulia Quadrifoglio Luna Rossa, limited to 10 examples that have already found buyers, shows the role of this activity, while the plan includes at least one more exclusive project. Alfa Romeo’s future lineup will therefore combine B- and C-segment models with low-volume halo cars, while the replacements for Giulia and Stelvio remain the biggest unanswered question.
