The 2026 Dodge Durango GT America250 Edition made its debut at the New York International Auto Show as a special series created to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the United States. Dodge brings a range of visual and trim upgrades to its three-row SUV, strengthening the model’s identity without changing its established mechanical formula.

On the outside, the model stands out through dedicated graphics with twin stripes, star motifs, and blue accents, joined by exclusive celebratory badges. The overall effect looks dramatic but well balanced and avoids decorative excess. The color palette includes shades such as Red Oxide, White Knuckle, and Night Moves, along with more understated options like Destroyer Gray and Diamond Black. Twenty-inch Black Noise wheels preserve the aggressive stance that has long defined the Durango.

The cabin is probably the most interesting part of this edition because Dodge has brought materials and finishes usually reserved for higher trims into the GT. Black Laguna leather seats feature blue perforations and an American flag pattern embossed into the front seatbacks. Dodge combines those details with red and white contrast stitching, a steering wheel with tricolor stitching, red seat belts, and forged carbon-fiber trim that noticeably lifts the perceived quality of the interior.

Under the skin, the Durango America250 Edition keeps the familiar engine choices. The standard version uses the 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 with 295 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. Buyers who want a more traditionally American character can still choose the 5.7-liter HEMI V8 with 360 horsepower. Dodge also allows that engine to pair with the Tow N Go package, which raises towing capacity to as much as 8,700 pounds, a particularly strong figure for a seven-seat SUV.

Production continues at the Detroit Assembly Complex at Jefferson in the heart of Detroit, a detail that reinforces the coherence of a celebratory version designed to highlight the connection between the model and America’s industrial history.
